Sophia wrote to Channel 4 to complain about the new outrageous Big Fat Gypsy Weddings ad campaign and this is the answer she received. It leaves me speechless that they believe or try to make us believe they are not using the words “gypsy” and “gypsier” in a negative context.
On the same subject, Caitlin Moran wrote a great piece about that campaign in The Times on Saturday that I highly recommend you read.
Nobody should be okay with it.
